who the f*?
Well. I’m a Belgian lad, keen about technology, music, and tons of other stuff, so I started blogging quite a while ago on Blogger. I migrated to a self hosted WordPress at some point, to unleash my geek cravings and here we are since then. It’s been fun so far, but who knows what the future holds. Maybe there will be Blog Tax to pay or something, and only professional bloggers will be able to survive in the ultra-policed-future-internet. Let’s hope it never gets that far though.
In the meanwhile you are free to tune in (see further) and read my posts about open source software (which rocks), other cool geek stuff I find out about (which of course, rocks), music of the more electronic and left-field kind (which euhm, doesn’t “rock” like rock bands do, but simply rocks!), and sometimes even a bit of a rant on Belgian or other current affairs.
I hope you’ll enjoy.

technical stuff
This blog is hosted by the Belgian IN.be hosting provider and is running on the mighty WordPress, using the following plugins to make blogging life a tad easier, or give it a bit more bling-bling:
- Akismet, the so necessary anti-comment-spam plugin.
- Bad behaviour: for blocking automated spambots and other nasties.
- FD Feedburner plugin: for feedburner feed redirection.
- Dean’s permalink migration, for taking care of people that come through old links from when this site was still running on Windows.
- Wordpress Database Backup, because taking backups is boring and is better left to machines anyway.
- A Category Cloud Widget.
- Vipers Video Quicktags for easy video posting.
- A comment subscription plugin.
- The wp-cache pluging for faster page loading.
- Yet Another Related Posts Plugin.
- Tweet This for twitter-post-spamming integration.
- Google XML Sitemaps because generating your own XML for Google Sitemaps is something to leave to computers and robots.
- The Souncloud shortcode plugin for easy copy-pasting of Soundcloud links.
- DoFollow plugin because it’s nicer to link back to people who comment on your posts.
- and probably some more since this page gets updated only now and then…
- Spread Firefox because it’s just awesome!
Also using:
- A modified version of the SandBox Wordpress theme.
- Feedburner for extra feed control and stats.
- Feedblitz for feed email subscription.
- Extreme Tracking for website stats.
- Google Analytics for even more website stats goodness.
- Flickr for creative commons licensed pictures to use in blog posts, and to host my own pics.
- Your attention, for reading through all of this. Thank you for that!
