how to be a programmer

Free ebooks rock don’t they? Well, in a sheer strike of luck I came across this particular one which I’ve been reading bits and pieces of during the last few months called How to be a programmer“. The thing that’s interesting about this programmers guide is that it focuses on the everyday, non-programming aspect of the job. An interesting read for any programmer, available in handy PDF and HTML format for free, which is nice.

The main page of the website hosting the ebook also contains links to a number of other free ebooks, but I have to say those look a bit too specific related to hardcore physics to be generally interesting.
